Michael G.A. Stocken is a solicitor admitted in 1981 is a partner in Letchers Solicitors, a firm of solicitors where he has been a partner since 1984.
He is a long-standing member of Resolution (formally known as the SFLA) which was established in 1982 and has as one of its main objectives the encouragement of sensitive, efficient and economic handling by its members of family issues. Another objective is to promote and encourage the use of mediation.
Michael Stocken trained as a mediator with Resolution in 1998. Resolution mediators are all practising lawyers, who have undergone an extensive mediation training programme, and are subject to regulation by the Association. They work to a Code of Practice which follows internationally accepted principles, and are also regulated in their mediation practice by the Law Society.
